I have gone out of my way not to make the non-smokers catch a whiff of my cigarette smoke, and in turn they treat me like pondscum. I strip my cigarettes and put the filter in my purse, I never smoke in another persons house I stand by myself in corners, etc, I do all I can not to be offensive and still treated like pondscum......... It just isn't good enough for New York, now they want to prosecute me for finding cigarettes cheaper on the internet. Boy-oh-boy. New York has become a Dictatorship. My ancestors have given their blood for this country since 1620, by order of birth I am entitled to be protected by the constitution of the United States and the amendments added since.
If you don't like my smoking, Just leave me alone. It is called "Freedom of Choice"
I'm with a band and I've noticed a sharp decline in business since the smoking ban..... Most people will go outside for a cigarette, we're used to that, but guess what!!!!!... When we are outside puffing we are not drinking....... I sure don't see those self-righteous non-smokers taking up the slack that is going to put these clubs out of business....... and when they feel like going out to catch a band, have a little fun,,,,,,, guess what, those clubs have gone under, oh geeee too bad, it was such a great place to dance and have a good time
They say 70% of New Yorkers don't smoke, I think they are wrong, they are making up these numbers........

The Anti-Smoking groups are manipulating the legislative process in order to impose their will on us. They want to FORCE us (not help us) to stop using a legal product......... All their statistics are taken for granted to be right because any other study is downplayed.....
I doubt that the non smokers will take up the slack in the New York clubs and keep them running. They will go under, gee too bad..... and the non-smokers will go about their business and see how they can stop people from smoking in their homes and cars.

I noticed that if you have a Cabaret Licence, that you can have smoking allowed..... Cabaret Licence means you sell more Alcohol than food........
Guess what? "Cigar Bars" are exempt...... Only the Rich can smoke..........
The self Righterous non-smokers will go to any length to get their ideas across, including lying....... and lying again...... I suppose Pataki doesn't care if he gets my vote or not,
Now they can go after Saturated fat, Chocolate, Obesity causes health problems, Kitty litter stinks, are you going to ban that
The bottom line now, is that side cigarette smoke stinks, so does cow poop, chicken poop. dog poop, perfume, chocolate, broccoli, etc..... what, you going to outlaw everything?

Now, personally, I think that if you are the proprietor of a bar, it should be your prerogative as to whether or not people can smoke there. If people have a problem with smoke at your bar, they simply won’t go to your bar. It is not a complicated idea

This is the only time in history when a legal product is outlawed. Well, if it's so awful, they should stop selling it. But of course the government would actually hate it if we gave up, because they'd lose so much revenue. And what we are witnessing is a market war between the tobacco industry and the pharmaceutical industry. They sell all these drugs and patches - which are useless, just another way of delivering nicotine - and if you're in the anti-smoking brigade, you can make a lot of money
It's taking away your rights. We need to wake up and we are not. The next thing you know, the government will be telling us what kind of car we can drive. They'll be telling us we can't eat steak, forget Cheeseburger, Fries and a Beer........
Some places have had police tell people they had to go inside or leave because they say more than three is considered a crowd - What happened to the Amendment "Freedom of Assembly"
